Pune Administration develops PWD friendly app

Pune Feb 8 (UNI) The Election Commission has developed a 'PWD App' (Enabled-ECI) to increase the participation of persons with disabilities in the voting process and enable them to vote easily. District Collector Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh has informed that through this app, necessary facilities are provided to the disabled voters to vote.
The voters of Kasba Peth and Chinchwad assembly constituencies which are going by- Election should not stay away from the election process, voter awareness programs are being organized in both the constituencies.
Through this, the work is being done to recruit volunteers to help disabled persons, senior citizens, physically challenged persons to reach and return to the polling station, said through a statement issued by District Information office ( DIO) here today.
