Around 31.77  pc polling in eight  LS seats in Maharashtra till 1300 hours

Mumbai, Apr 26 (UNI) An estimated 31.77 per cent of over 1.49 crore electorate exercised their franchise in the second phase election to eight Lok Sabha seats of Vidharbha and Marathwada region of Maharashtra state till 1300 hours on Friday.
According to Election Commission sources, while Parbhani constituency registered highest 33 per cent polling, Nanded registered 32.93 per cent , Amravati 32.40 per cent , Akola 32.25 per cent, Washim-Yawatmal and Amravati 31 per cent each, Hingoli 30 per cent and Buldhana 29 per cent.
Over 1.49 crore electorate, including above 72 lakh women, are expected to exercise their franchise to return eight winners among 204 aspirants from different political parties, including that of ruling Mahayuti and opposition Mhavikas Agadhi in about 16589 polling stations.
A total of 472 third gender electors will also cast their votes.
