Kolhapur, Mar 19 (UNI) After the district session court rejected the anticipatory bail application yesterday of "journalist" Prashant Koratkar, a five-member police team led by an officer of assistant inspector rank, left for Nagpur late Wednesday evening to arrest accused Koratkar.Maharashtra's Kolhapur District Sessions Court on Tuesday rejected the anticipatory bail application of "journalist" Prashant Koratkar, who is absconding after allegedly threatening history researcher Indrajeet Sawant over his comment on the 'Bramhan' community.

Kolhapur, Mar 19 (UNI) Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Wednesday arrested a private agent in Maharashtra's Kolhapur district, who allegedly demanded Rs 5 lakh from the complainant for a pending work.The arrestee, identified as Suresh Jagannath Khot (49) of Bhairewadi in Shahuwadi tehsil, met the complaint, who had applied at the Tehsildar office for a new 7/12 certificate with correction. Khot lured him with the promise that he would do his pending work as he was acquainted with the tehsildar. He demanded Rs 5 lakh for it.The complainant informed the ACB officials who laid a trap and arrested Khot red-handed while accepting Rs 5 lakh from the complainant. UNI SSS ARN SSP.
