'Maha Kalika Yagam' concludes

Thiruvananthapuram, May 17 (UNI) The very rare 10-day 'Maha Kalika Yagam,' 4,000 year-old ritual inscripted in Vedas for appeasing Goddess Kali to reduce the ill effects of 'Kali Yuga', concluded here on Monday night.
The Yagam concluded in the presence of several Aghoris led by '1008 Maha Mandleshwar Chief' Kailashpuri of Kashi, who arrived here to attend the Yagam from May 7 to 16.
The 'Maha Kalika Yagam' was performed with oblation of 303 rare Ayurvedic medicinal plants and 10,000 kg ghee at Pournamikkavu temple here in the presence of chief priests from 51 Shakti Peethas across the country.
