Women unsafe in BJP govt in UP: Akhilesh

Lucknow, Mar 20 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday reiterated that women are not safe under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government and crime is taking place against women, sisters and daughters every day.
In a statement issued here, Akhilesh said, "The suspicious murder of a woman from Ayodhya after rape in Lucknow is extremely painful. The Chief Minister's zero tolerance on law and order and crime against women is fading away every day and the safety of sisters and daughters is under threat."
He alleged, "Ever since the BJP government has come to power in the state, large-scale crime is taking place against women and daughters. Criminals have no fear of the law. Exploitation of Dalit, backward and minority women is at its peak in Uttar Pradesh."
