Lucknow, May 16 (UNI) Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday said that workers and industrialists complement each other and are not rivals and industrial growth in the state is possible only when labour laws are balanced from both pro-industry and pro-labour perspectives.
During a review meeting of the Labour and Employment Department, the CM directed the officials to simplify labour laws so that they make it easier for industries to operate, while also ensuring that workers are not exploited or treated unfairly. "To achieve the goal of 'Har haath ko kaam', it is essential to strengthen industries. Shutting down industries won't generate jobs, instead, expanding them is the key to creating more employment opportunities," he said.
He stressed the importance of providing fair wages and insurance coverage to workers so that they and their families are protected in case of accidents. He said the state government is committed to protecting workers' rights while also promoting UP as the most worker-friendly and industry-supportive state in the country.
