3 killed in flooding in west Indonesia's Lampung

Jakarta, Apr 21 (UNI) Flooding triggered by heavy rains has killed three people in Indonesia's western province of Lampung, according to the province's disaster mitigation agency on Monday.
Wahyu Hidayat, spokesman for the agency, told local media that a joint rescue team evacuated the three victims and transported them to nearby hospitals for further identification.
Torrential rains have reportedly been lashing the provincial capital, Bandar Lampung, since early Monday, submerging houses and public facilities in some areas.

Dhaka, May 16 (UNI) More Bangladeshi parties are voicing opposition to the Interim Government's decision to establish a "humanitarian corridor" to Myanmar's Rakhine State to deliver aid supplies.
Days after the Bangladesh Nationalist Party of former PM Khaleda Zia expressed "grave concern" over the Yunus-led interim government's announcement that Dhaka had agreed in-principle to open a humanitarian corridor for transporting relief supplies to Myanmar's Rakhine, the Bangladesh Islamist party, Khelafat Majlish, has now raised raised alarm over the move.
