TIPRA demands disqualification of Tripura Sports minister for false affidavit

Agartala, May 26 (UNI) The opposition TIPRA Motha accused the Minister for Social Welfare, Sports and Youth Affairs Tinku Roy of filing a false affidavit to the Election Commission of India (ECI) during nomination and demanded his disqualification from the assembly.
Motha leader who fought against Roy in the last assembly election from Chandipur constituency of Unakoti district Ranjan Sinha alleged that Tinku Roy mentioned false information about his educational qualification and concealed a criminal case against him in the affidavit.
Sinha said the RTI information revealed that Tinku Roy had claimed to have passed the HS (+2) examination from the Board of Secondary Education Madhya Bharat Gwalior in the year 2004, but no such board exists as per records of the government of Madhya Pradesh and Ministry of Education.
