LG flags off first batch of 4,890 pilgrims

Jammu, June 29 (UNI) After two years, the first batch of 4,890 Amarnath pilgrims was on early Wednesday flagged off by Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha.
The batch left for the cave shrine from Jammu Yatri Niwas.
The pilgrimage was cancelled midway in 2019 in view of law and problem before revocation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019 and in 2020-21 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
