Phagwara, Nov 24 (UNI) Lashing out at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's announcement to pay Rs 1,000 per month to every woman above 18 years of age, Punjab Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Jasveer Singh Garhi on Wednesday alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener was playing tricks on Punjab and the Delhi Chief Minister has made a mockery of Punjabis by coming to the state and announcing to pay Rs 1,000.

Garhi said Kejriwal had said on stage that housewives who had not bought a new suit for many years would be able to get a new suit with Rs 1,000, while mothers could give their children food and drink and the students will go to college with the Rs 1,000. Such nonsensical statements are a great insult to the people of Punjab.
