Lucknow, Mar 18 (UNI) A special MP-MLA court on Saturday sentenced former president of Uttar Pradesh unit of Congress Ajay Kumar Lallu to one year imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000 in a four-year-old case in a defamation case, prosecution sources said here.
Prosecution sources said that in November 2019, the then cabinet minister Shrikant Sharma had filed a complaint against the Congress leader for defamation.
