Disproportionate assets case filed against CRPF commandant

Lucknow, Mar 18 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against a Commandant of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Lucknow on the charges of disproportionate assets, an official spokesman said here on Saturday.
The spokesman said that a case has been registered against CRPF Commandant Neeraj Kumar Pandey on the allegations of acquisition or possessing disproportionate assets to the tune of approximately Rs 5.61 Crore which is 108 per cent of his income.
He said that searches were carried out at four places including Lucknow, Noida, Mirzapur districts in UP and Delhi on the premises of Pandey. "During searches, investments in immovable properties at Ranchi, Varanasi, Noida and Yamuna Expressway of approximately Rs.4.6 crore in the name of the accused and his family members along with deposits of approximately Rs.1.02 Crore in the bank accounts were found," he said.
