CtrlS unveils of upcoming datacenter park in Chennai

Hyderabad, Feb 27 (UNI) CtrlS Datacenters Limited, Asia's largest Rated-4 datacenter operator, on Tuesday announced the unveiling of their upcoming datacenter park in Chennai.
The Chennai Data center Park would be the fifth hyperscale DC campus in the country following Mumbai, Hyderabad, Noida and Bangalore, Hyderabad based company said in a release here.
It will invest Rs 4,000 crore in the Chennai Datacenter Park, across phases and the company is expected to create about 500 direct jobs and over 9,000 indirect jobs.
Located in the Ambattur industrial area, the campus will include two datacenter buildings with a combined built-up area of almost 1 million square feet, and 72 MW IT load capacity.
The first datacenter building (Chennai DC 1) is fully booked, and will begin operations in Q2 2024 while the second datacenter building (Chennai DC 2) is slated to be launched in the second half of 2024 – and is presently accepting bookings.
The CtrlS Chennai DC Campus boasts of some advanced features includes earthquake resistant ;. flood.proof and 9- layer physically security.
Speaking on the occasion, Sridhar Pinnapureddy, Founder & CEO, CtrlS Datacenters, stated "Chennai is the second largest datacenter market in India and holds strategic significance because of the presence of large number of subsea cable landing stations, coupled with the growing presence of enterprises and cloud service providers in the region.”

Beginning its operations in 2007, the company operates 15 datacenters across eight key markets and is set to build over 600 MW of datacenter capacity by 2029.
CtrlS Datacenters has announced its plans to explore new overseas markets in Southeast Asia and Middle East, with Thailand being the first international market foray.
