ACB officials nab Mandal officer and Talathi for accepting bribe

Kolhapur, Ratnagiri, Mar 29 (UNI) Anti Corruption bureau (ACB) Ratnagiri division on Wednesday arrested a Mandal officer of Devrukh and Talathi of Kankadi village in Sangmeshwar tehsil in Ratnagiri district, on charges of accepting bribe of Rs 25,000 from the complainant to register name on 7/12 certificate.
Arrested person identified as Ullhas Vishwanath Murudkar (46), a Mandal officer working at Devrukh and Santosh Mahadev Moghe, Talathi.
In a ACB press release, complainant who gave a application to register his name on 7/12 certificate met Talathi Mr Moghe and requested to forward his application to mandal officer. Talathi Moghe demanded a new mobile phone as bribe while Mandal officer Mr Murudkar demanded Rs 25,000 fir register the name after application received.
