Youth burnt alive by in-laws in Mathura

Mathura (UP), Mar 28 (UNI) A 22-year-old youth was burnt alive allegedly by his in-laws over an old rivalry in the Highway area of Mathura district in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, a police officer said.
Superintendent of Police (City) Dr Arvind Kumar said Vijay and his brother got married in Bhudsaru village under Refinery police station. He said Vijay was having a dispute with his in-laws and the police attempted to make a compromise on several occasions.
Uncle of the deceased Devi Singh said that around 1 PM he received a call from Vijay that he had been called for a compromise at the police station. "Singh said that after some time he received another call that Vijay was being assaulted near an ATV factory and by the time he reached the spot the deceased was burnt alive," sources said.
