Yogi succeeded in streamlining law and order: Rajnath

Lucknow, Mar 18 (UNI) Defence Minister and local MP Rajnath Singh on Saturday while praising the work of the Uttar Pradesh government said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has succeeded in restoring the tight law and order which is necessary for development.
On the occasion of the inauguration of 352 projects worth Rs 1,449.68 crore in Lucknow, Rajnath said that the credit for all the development works done in the state capital goes to Yogi Adityanath, because till the CM of the state shows interest in the development works, the projects could not be completed in a fast lane. "Today our Lucknow is colored in the color of development," he said.
He said that Saturday is an important day for UP. "Today CM Yogi is completing six-years of his tenure. This is a record in the history of UP. Yogi's tenure of six years has been dedicated to the development of the state," he said.
The Defence Minister said that law and order is the oxygen of development. "In the last six years, the entire country has seen how fast the law and order situation in UP has been strengthened. I read in a web portal that 63 criminals have been killed in police encounters. If the criminals clash with the police this will be the result. The speed with which the cleaning work is being done in UP, it seems that the century too can be completed soon," he said.
He said that UP would fulfill the target of becoming a 1 trillion dollar economy by getting free from the atmosphere of fear. "Work in this direction is going on at a fast pace. The foundation stone of many projects including road treatment plant, sewer plant is being laid and inauguration is also taking place. Due to the sensitivity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and acumen of the CM, the development work is being done at a fast pace," he said.
Enumerating the development plans in Lucknow and surrounding areas, the MP said that the corridor connecting Shaheed Path and Kisan Path will fulfill the vision of Lucknow being clean and green. "The work of Lucknow-Sultanpur Highway was completed in 2019 while the work on Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway is in progress. The 104 kilometer Ring Road in Lucknow will create new dimensions of development," he said.
He said, "Nine flyovers have been approved for Lucknow. The work of Gomtinagar train terminal will be completed by December. Lucknow City and Charbagh railway stations have been included in the list of Amrit Bharat stations. These stations will be developed as world class stations," he said.
He said that development works are being carried out in the area surrounding Lucknow and State Capital Region (SCR) will be developed on the lines of National Capital Region (NCR).
