Victory day military parade cancelled in Crimea over security concerns

Simferopol, Apr 19 (UNI) Crimea will not stage a Victory Day military parade and the Immortal Regiment march on May 9 due to security concerns, Crimean head Sergey Aksyonov said on Friday.

"The May 9 military parade and the Immortal Regiment march are not scheduled in Crimea. The decision is linked to security issues. However, we will definitely pay tribute to our veterans, honour the memory of the dead, and hold festive events in various formats. In short, Crimea will celebrate Victory Day with dignity," Askyonov said on Telegram.
