Uttarakhand govt hosts 'Astro Party,' plans to develop Benital as Astro village

Benital, Dec 7 (UNI) The grasslands of Benital on Tuesday hosted a first-of-its-kind 'Astro Party,' where people got an opportunity to have an up, close and personal view of the Sun, stars, constellations, planets and much more.
The district administration of Chamoli, under the government of Uttarakhand, in collaboration with Starscapes Experiences, a platform for astronomy experiences, organised this two-day event that commenced today, as part of its plan to develop Benital into an 'Astro Village'.
According to the state government, it has made 13 destination plans, in line with its plan to develop each district of the state with a specific theme. Chamoli district has been chosen for Astro tourism.
