UP: Convict dies at Saifai Medical College

Etawah (UP), Nov 12 (UNI) A 48-year-old convict lodged in Vaidpura central jail in connection with an attempted murder case died due to illness at Saifai Medical College, a senior police officer said here.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sanjay Kumar said that Badri Prasad Meena, a resident of Alwar district in Rajasthan, was sentenced to 10-years imprisonment by a fast-track court on January 11, 2022, in an attempt to murder.
"On October 2, 2024, the convict was transferred to central jail in the Vaidpura area from Alwar," he said.
