UK based Sram and Mram group to invest Rs.2 lakh crores in Odisha on semiconductor unit

Bhubaneswar, Dec 3 (UNI) United Kingdom based Sram and Mram Group will invest Rs.2 lakh crore in a semiconductor unit in Odisha.
Company Vice Chairman Dr. Gurujee Kumaran Swami declared two lakh crore investment in phased manner in the Semiconductor business in Odisha during the Make In Odisha Conclave, 2022.
Briefing newsmen at the Conclave site, Group Vice Chairman Dr. Gurujee Kumaran Swami and Odisha Incharge Dr. Debadutta Singh Deo said the group will invest Rs.30,000 crore in the first phase.
Earlier during the day they met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and briefed him about the project. They also discussed in detail about the project with the Chief Secretary, the Principal Secretary of Industry and ED, IPICOL.
The group thanked the Odisha government for accepting the proposal with a short notice.
