Prayagraj, Feb 17 (UNI) Two persons were killed and more than 12 devotees were injured when a bus collided with a trailer in the Utraon area of Prayagraj district in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here on Monday.
Police sources said that the incident took place on Gauharpur National Highway when the bus carrying 35 devotees from the Rohtas district of the neighbouring Bihar state was on its way to Prayagraj Maha Kumbh. "Late on Sunday night the bus collided with the trailer parked on the side of the road on the highway," they said.
Police sources said that Ram Saroj Chaudhary (85) and Baijnath Paswan (40), both residents of Dara Nagar in Bihar's Nohta police station area, were killed in the incident and more than a dozen were injured. "The injured have been admitted to the hospital," they said.
