To come back after two years & win IPL like Dhoni did is amazing: Sunil Gavaskar

Kolkata, March 24 (UNI) For 15 years, MS Dhoni's legacy as the captain of the Chennai Super Kings is nothing short of remarkable.
With his extraordinary leadership and ability to bring out the best in his teammates, he has created a team that is nothing short of formidable. Dhoni's captaincy mantra, his unflappable calm in the face of adversity, and his ability to handle pressure have set the gold standard for leadership and team management.
As the Chennai Super Kings prepare for what may be Dhoni's last season as captain and player in the IPL 2023, the fans are eager to show their support and bid farewell to their beloved captain in the best way possible, by winning the trophy.
The Chepauk is sure to be buzzing with excitement as the team sets out on their quest for glory. To celebrate the historic moments of MS Dhoni, Star Sports will be dedicating a day long show line-up showcasing Best Knocks of MSD, Cricket Countdown – Dhoni, and highlights of all title winning finals of CSK.
Speaking ahead of Dhoni Special Day on Star Sports Network, former India batsman Sunil Gavaskar recalled the highlights of the illustrious IPL career of ‘Captain Cool’ MS Dhoni, and how he has brought out the best in his team mates, uplifting them to win the coveted trophy four times.
He said, "I think when CSK returned and won the IPL trophy, it was absolutely amazing because the team had not been together for two years and they had moved out with different franchises and suddenly they come back again. That tells you leadership. That tells you how the man could get a team together again after that gap. Sometimes you know, first year, second year there is a team
spirit that happens but to get all of them together after the gap is remarkable."
"I think therefore that particular year and some of the shots that he played, I remember one game where the teams needed 20 odds runs in the final over and he just smashed it around from everywhere from outside the off stump, he was hitting it over long on for sixes! We were used to seeing that from Dhoni but even those little touches of his where he makes a fielder, a player feel
7 feet tall, are the touches that make him stand out from the other,” Gavaskar added.
