Ten candidates are in the fray for LS polls in Meghalaya

Shillong, Mar 28 (UNI) The nomination papers of ten candidates seeking to contest from two parliamentary seats in Meghalaya, Shillong, and Tura, were found valid during scrutiny on Thursday, an official said.
Six candidates from the Shillong parliamentary seat and four from the Tura parliamentary seats are in the fray for the April 19 Lok Sabha elections, Chief Electoral Officer, Dr. B.D.R. Tiwari said.
Congress substitute candidate Manuel Badwar withdrew his nomination after the nomination papers of sitting MP Vincent Pala were found valid, he said.
