Tejaswi to challenge Patna High Court verdict on reservation before the Supreme court

Tejaswi to challenge Patna High Court verdict on reservation before the Supreme court

Patna, June 20 (UNI) Leader of opposition in Bihar assembly Tejaswi Prasad Yadav on Thursday said he would appeal to the Supreme Court against the Patna High Court verdict scrapping the hike in the reservation quota for SCs, STs, OBCs, and EBCs in case the state government failed to challenge the judgement before the top court.
Exasperated with the court's verdict, which cancelled the reservation quota hike from 50 to 65 percent for SCs, STs, OBCs, and EBCs in state government services and educational institutions in Bihar, Yadav said the RJD was "hurt" by the decision and would continue to fight this issue.
The RJD leader said he would move the Supreme Court against the high court's judgment in case the Bihar government failed to make any appeal.
