Substitute Weghorst's sensational strike secures Dutch win against Poland

Hamburg, June 16 (UNI) Netherlands' forward, Wout Weghorst, established himself as a game-changer off the bench, a role he embraced yet again in the thrilling 2-1 victory over Poland during the European Championship match on Sunday.
Entering the game as a substitute for Memphis Depay, Weghorst made an instant impact with a decisive left-footed strike in the 83rd minute, securing the win for his team. Depay, who had squandered several scoring opportunities earlier in the match, made way for Weghorst, whose timely intervention shifted the momentum in favor of the Dutch side.
The triumph has added pressure on Group D frontrunner, France, which had defeated the Netherlands twice in the qualifiers last year and is set to face Austria on Monday.
