SC accepts Karnataka govt's plea seeking completion of delimitation work

New Delhi, May 20 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Friday permitted Karnataka government to issue notification regarding delimitation of wards upto 8 weeks from today for holding Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike elections.
The Court also held the state government's assurance to complete determination of reservation within the same time and notified accordingly.
"The process of delimitation of wards is at final stage and formal notification will be issued shortly by the state government. To be on the safer side, it is urged that the court may permit the state government to issue notification regarding delimitation of wards upto 8 weeks from now," the Court said.
