RSP achieves best April – Nov performances in three key sectors

Bhubaneswar, Dec 2 (UNI) Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), a unit of the Maharatna Company SAIL, has achieved its best April-November performance in the fiscal year 2023-24.
RSP sources said in the first 8 months of the current financial year, the Steel Plant produced 2959461 tonnes of Hot Metal, 2742231 tonnes of Crude Steel and 2737273 tonnes of Saleable Steel to clock Best April-November performance.
The plant registered a growth of 4.2 percent, 3.0 percent and a staggering 11 percent in hot metal,crude steel and saleable steel over the corresponding period last year.

The earlier best April- November performance in all these key areas were achieved in the previous financial year.
With an all time high production of 4729825 tonnes of sinter during the 1st eight months of the current fiscal, the Sinter Plants complemented the success story.

RSP Director In-Charge Atanu Bhowmick congratulated the team for the consistent improvement in performance. He emphasized the need to further enhance the momentum and strive for setting new benchmarks.
