Revanth calls for collective effort to make Telangana globally competitive

Hyderabad, Apr 19 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy touring in Japan to attract investments on Saturday emphasised the need for collective efforts to transform the state into a globally competitive hub during a program organized by the Japan Telugu Federation.
Highlighting Telangana's achievements, the Chief Minister said, “We have made significant progress in the IT and pharma sectors. Now, we are moving towards establishing a dry port to further boost trade and infrastructure.”
He stressed the importance of sustainable urban development, drawing inspiration from Japan's capital. “We examined the riverfront developed in Tokyo. Water is not just a resource—it's a symbol of our culture and development,” he said, while underscoring the need to clean the Musi River in Hyderabad.
CM Reddy criticised those obstructing the Musi River cleaning project and pointed to the severe pollution in Delhi as a warning. “When a city like Delhi comes to a standstill due to pollution, should we not learn from it?” he asked, urging immediate action for environmental reform in Hyderabad.
He identified the cleaning of the Musi River, metro rail expansion, regional ring road, and development of radial roads as key priorities for Telangana's future growth.
“The government's goal is to attract more investments, foster industries, and create job opportunities in Telangana,” Reddy added, calling on the public to participate actively. “If everyone contributes in their own way, we can make Telangana capable of competing with the world.”
He encouraged citizens to share their ideas with the government. “There’s no greater joy than developing your own region,” he said.
