Punjab: SAD's Badal condemns AAP government's move to recruit 'outsiders' in PDC

Chandigarh, June 24 (UNI) Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Tuesday condemned the Aam Aadmi Party-led Punjab government's move to recruit 22 "outsiders" in the Punjab Development Council (PDC) to run 10 key State departments.
Badal wrote on social media X that the AAP high command has "already taken over" the entire governance and alleged that it was "plundering Punjab’s treasury" by hiring outsiders at salaries ranging from Rs 3.30 lakh/month for advisors and Rs 2.65 lakh/month for digital/communication officers.
The SAD leader has also objected to the omission of any requirement for Punjabi proficiency or preference for Punjabis, clearing the path for recruitment of AAP cronies.
