Pseudo intellectuals unable to digest inclusion of actual facts in textbooks: BJP govt

Bengaluru, May 23 (UNI) Karnataka Education Minister BC Nagesh on Monday took on the so-called intellectuals for spreading lies on the alleged revision of school textbooks as they are unable to digest inclusion of actual facts.
"Those who are unable to digest facts being put out in textbooks are spreading lies. It started with rumours that a chapter on Tipu Sultan was being removed from the textbook even before the textbook revision committee was submitted. After the textbook went for printing, lies were spread that a chapter on Bhagat Sigh was removed, though I had clarified on the very same day, refuting the falsehood," he told reporters here.
Apart from retaining Bhagat Singh's chapter, Nagesh said chapters on revolutionary freedom fighters like Chandra Shekhar Azad, Sukhdev and Rajguru, have been included in the revised textbook.
