Protesters attempt to storm German parliament over coronavirus restrictions

Berlin, Aug 30 (UNI) Protesters in the German city of Berlin protesting against the continuing COVID-19 restrictions on Sunday attempted to storm the country's parliament accusing the politicians across the political spectrum for trying to control the lives of the people.
Authorities said the demonstrators did not belong to any particular political leanings, and many belonged to far-right groups. The protesters broke through a cordon and ran up the steps of the Reichstag before police dispersed them, BBC reported.
Condemning the protesters the country's interior minister said there would be "zero tolerance" for such behaviour.
