President Kovind to attend CUHP Convocation on June 10

Dharamshala, May 17 (UNI) President Ram Nath Kovind will visit this hill town on June 10, 2022, to attend the VI Convocation of Central University of Himachal Pradesh, where 1722 degrees, besides 74 Gold medals will be awarded to students.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Sat Prakash Bansal told UNI that the President is attending this convocation and will be accompanied by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur, Himachal Governor Rajendra Arlekar, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and Himachal Pradesh Education Minister Govind Thakur.
The VC said that the convocation ceremony of the varsity could not be held for the last two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite the degrees being prepared, the ceremony could not take place. Now degrees will be awarded to the students of the year 2017 batch in the convocation to be held on June 10, 2022. Vice Chancellor Bansal said that during the Convocation it is going to confer degrees to the students and the PhD holders of the year 2018-19 batch.
