PMK demand reorganisation of the UT of Puducherry

Puducherry, Sep 1 (UNI) Puducherry unit of Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) on Sunday demanded a re-organisation of the union territory.
Talking to media, party state president Dhanraj said Puducherry Union Territory is with four far lying regions of Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam. To avoid geographical inconvenience, Mahe region near Kerala be merged with Kerala,Yanam with Andhra Pradesh and Karaikal with 2.5 lakh population be made a separate union territory.
He said that Puducherry by adding the inter-locked areas of Cuddalore and Villuppuram districts of Tamil Nadu be made a separate state and added that this re-organisation would help development of all the regions.
