People on responsible posts should avoid misleading comments: DGP UP

Lucknow, Apr 21 (UNI) Director General of Police (DGP) of Uttar Pradesh Prashant Kumar on Monday termed Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav's claims of caste-based postings in the police as completely false and a rumour.
The DGP has advised that people in responsible positions to avoid such misleading comments. He said that such information being spread on social media is baseless and to refute it, the police of the concerned districts have already released data.
He clarified that if any such false information is spread in the future, we will bring out the truth. "People in responsible positions should avoid making such comments," he said.
