Pakistan's disaster management authority issues flood alerts

Islamabad, July 24 (UNI) The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) of Pakistan has issued an alert of torrential rains and floods in parts of the country, an official statement said.
The national emergency operation center of the NDMA stated on Tuesday that the monsoon rains from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal have entered the upper regions of Pakistan, resulting in a series of rains in different parts of the country till July 27.
Storms, strong winds and rains are expected in parts of southern Sindh, eastern Punjab and northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces, the statement added.
