OGW involved in Reasi bus attack arrested

Jammu, June 19 (UNI) In a major breakthrough in the June 9 terror attack on a pilgrims bus in Reasi district, police on Wednesday arrested a person who acted as a guide and helped the terrorists in reaching the spot.
Reasi's Senior Superintendent of Police Mohita Sharma told the media that one terrorist Over Ground Worker (OGW) identified as Hakam Din, 45, hailing from Bandhrahi in Rajouri district has been arrested from Reasi by the Jammu and Kashmir Police for providing logistic support to the terrorists.
A case under sections 302, 307 of IPC, 7/27 Arms Act 16/18/20 UAPA is already registered at Police Station Pouni, she added.
“The arrested person acted as a guide and helped the terrorists in reaching the spot of incident,” she stated.
On June 9, a bus ferrying pilgrims from Shiv Khori Shrine in Ransoo area towards Katra in Reasi was attacked by the terrorists. They shot the driver following which he lost control on the vehicle which fell into a deep gorge near Kanda area of Pouni killing nine pilgrims and injuring 40 others.
