Offline nomination allowed till Dec 2

Mumbai, Dec 1 (UNI) Maharashtra Election Commissioner U P S Madan on Thursday said submission of nomination papers through offline mode is allowed for direct election of Sarpanchas along with the posts of members of Gram Panchayats in various districts.
The deadline for submission of nomination papers has been extended till 5.30 pm on December 2.
Madan said the State Election Commission had announced general elections for 7,751 gram panchayats in the state on November 9.
