Now listen to Justin Bieber’s English track ‘Lonely’ with a traditional thumri

Kolkata, June 15 (UNI) Music Producer and Composer Ananjan Chakraborty, son of the legendary classical vocalist, Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty, on Wednesday announced the launch of his Indian mashup cover of Justin Bieber’s song ‘Lonely’ by fusioning with a traditional thumri.
Popular playback singer, Madhuraa Bhattacharya has sung the Indian mashup and the Thumri is rendered by a young classical vocalist,Bitan Das, a student of Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty. Ananjan himself has also sung an Alap in this project.

"The Indian mash-up cover of this particular song has the note combination or the basic tune of this melody which has a lot of similarity with a Raga named ‘Kaushidhwani' of the North Indian classical music. Hope the viewers and listeners will praise all our effort behind this presentation and will also adore the same”, said Ananjan.

This composition is going to portray before the audience a heart-touching saga of infinite affection and sacrifice. It is an onscreen adaptation of a real-life tale based on the journey of Ananjan Chakraborty himself. It will narrate the anecdote of his love and the despair which he received as the love of his life left him for another man and his journey of life took a different turn.

In the music video, Ananjan himself acted and played his own character. Riti Chowdhury has played the role as Ananjan's wife, Jyotirmoy Roy as the friend of Ananjan and Riti’s later love interest.

Gourav Gupta has directed the music video, which is available on Ananjan's YouTube and Facebook pages. UNI BM SSP
