Not against recognition of spousal sexual violence: Men Welfare Trust to Delhi High Court

New Delhi, Jan 28 (UNI) Men Welfare Trust, one of the parties in the marital rape case, while making its rejoinder submissions before the Delhi High Court on Friday, said that the entity it represented, was not against the recognition of spousal sexual violence.
The rights body made its rejoinder submissions before a Bench of Justices Rajiv Shakdher and C Hari Shankar, which was hearing a batch of petitions challenging exception to Section 375 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The petitioners sought criminalisation of marital rape, making it an offence and crime punishable under law.
