Nomination papers of one candidate rejected in Manipur during scrutiny

Imphal, Mar, 28 (UNI) The nomination paper of one candidate out of a total of eleven candidates who filed their nominations for two Lok Sabha seats in Manipur was rejected during scrutiny on Thursday.
The candidature of Ngasepam Nilakanta Singh, who filed his nomination papers as a member of the Universal Family Party the Inner Manipur Lok Sabha seat was rejected after scrutiny.
After scrutiny six candidates remained in the fray for the -Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency seat. Those in the fray are Rajkumar Somendro Singh @ Kaiku, Manipur People’s Party (MPP), Moirangthem Totomshana Nongshaba, Rashtriya Janhit Sangharsh Party (RJSP), Maheshwar Thounaojam, Republican Party of India - Athawale (RPI – A) , Thounaojam Basanta Kumar Singh, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Dr. Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, Indian National Congress(INC) and Haorungbam Sarat Singh, Independent.
