Srinagar, Dec 2 (UNI) Night temperature improved several notches at most places due to an overcast sky in the Kashmir Valley on Friday amid a Meteorological Department forecast of dry weather to continue over Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours, officials said.
However, there was no let up in cold conditions that continued to prevail in the Valley coupled with fog and haze on Friday.
Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, recorded a low of minus 0.2 degree Celsius on Friday against minus 2.1 degrees Celsius the previous night. The temperature was 0.7 degrees above normal during this period of the season.
