South Korea votes for new parliament

Seoul, April 10 (UNI) South Koreans on Wednesday started voting for a new parliament, which is widely being seen as a midterm referendum on President Yoon Suk yeol’s administration.
Voters will choose representatives to the National Assembly which has 254 seats in the 300-seat parliament. More than 30 per cent of eligible voters have already cast their ballot in early voting days last week.
The polling stations opened at 6 am local time on Wednesday and will close at 6 pm, Yonhap news agency reported.
