North Australia jolted by Indonesian earthquake, no injuries, damages reported

Canberra, Dec 30 (UNI/Xinhua) Parts of northern Australia was jolted by a 7.4-magnitude earthquake that hit off the coast of Indonesia early Thursday morning, with no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The tremor was felt at about 3:55 am local time (0625 GMT) in Darwin, capital of Australia's Northern Territory, local media reported. There was no tsunami threat, said the Australian Bureau of Meteorology on Twitter.
