Had no inkling I was leaving Afghanistan till my plane left Kabul: Ashraf Ghani

Kabul, Dec 30 (UNI) Former Afghan president Ashraf Ghani has said in an interview that when he woke up on August 15 he had "no inkling" it would be his last day in Afghanistan and that he had no idea he was leaving the country till the plane left Kabul.
In a BBC broadcast on Thursday, Ghani gave his account of events on August 15, the day Kabul fell to the Taliban.
He said when he woke up on 15 August, he had "no inkling" it would be his last day in Afghanistan.
