The senior BJP leader also said that Thackeray's speech on Wednesday, was full of despair.
On Wednesday, Thackeray had challenged Home Minister Amit Shah to conduct Mumbai Civil polls and Assembly elections within a month and see the Shiv Sena's strength.
Reacting to Thackeray's speech , Fadnavis said: "I have a question for him, when he asks us to resign and go for elections. Why did Thackeray not resign and go for elections in 2019, when he stabbed BJP in its back by joining hands with Congress-NCP?
