Mumbai, Apr 3 (UNI) In a major setback to BJP ahead of Lok Sabha elections, its sitting MP from Jalgaon Unmesh Patil, who was denied the party ticket for upcoming polls, joined the Shiv Sena (UBT) along with his followers at Matoshri, the residence of Sena president Uddhav Thackeray, here on Wednesday.
Party chief and former state chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut were present on this occasion.
Instead of Patil, BJP has fielded Smita Wagh from the Jalgaon parliamentary constituency.
