Maha: MPCC chief strongly criticises BJP

Mumbai, Apr 15 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Nana Patole on Monday strongly criticised the ruling BJP for allegedly humiliating tribals by referring to them as forest dwellers and depriving them of their right to water, forest and land.
Addressing a rally in Desaiganj taluka of Gadchiroli district for MVA candidate from Gadchiroli-Chimur Lok Sabha constituency Namdev Kirsan, he said that if the government of Congress and INDIA bloc's comes to power, they will fulfil promises made in the party's manifesto to tribals, dalits, nomads, disenfranchised castes.
Under the Forest Rights Act, all pending claims will be settled within a year and rejected claims will be reviewed within six months, he said.
