PM Modi criticises opposition

PM Modi criticises opposition

Nagpur, Apr 10 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday trained his guns on Opposition, claiming that INDIA bloc is leaving no stone unturned to cause divisions in society.
Addressing an election campaign rally near here in support of Mahayuti candidates including Nitin Gadkari Nagpur), Sunil Mendhe (Bhandara) and Raju Parve (Ramtak), he said, "They are only engaged in dividing the country. Because they know that if people of the country remain united, their politics will end."
Starting his address by paying obeisance to Baba Jumdevji and Dr B R Ambedkar, he said, "On April 19, you do not have to elect just one MP. You have to vote to strengthen the foundation of India for next 1,000 years. A lot of development work has been done in last 10 years. This is just a trailer. The work done in last 10 years is just like an appetizer. The main course is yet to come," said Modi.
Speaking further, he said, "When abuses against Modi increase, then understand the trend, once again Modi government. When these people start abusing my late father or mother, then understand once again the Modi government. When questions start being raised on EVMs, then understand the trend, once again, the Modi government."
He claimed that "these days the INDIA bloc and its leaders are engaged in spreading lies that if Modi comes to power for the third time, then democracy and the Constitution will be in danger. Ever since I have been in politics, they have told the same old story. They do not have any new ideas."
The Prime Minister countered by asking "was democracy not in danger during the Emergency, from east to west, north to south. If the government was under the control of these people's family."
"As soon as the son of a poor man became the Prime Minister, they started seeing democracy and the
Constitution in danger," he said.
Modi charged that "even today they are leaving no stone unturned to make one community fight with another. Even today, they do not leave any chance to target the culture of India."
Modi asked people to undertake a door-to-door campaign and convey his personal message, that is 'say Ram Ram (goodbye) to everyone', he added.
State Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, BJP state president
Chandrashekhar Bavankule, MP Ashok Chavan, Minister Ramdas Athawale, all candidates among several other Mahayuti leaders were present on dias.
