Chandigarh, Mar 21 (UNI) Indian ace tennis player Leander Paes, partnering Philipp Oswald of Austria, seeds second, won the first set with ease against Spainish pair of Guillermo Garcia-Lopez and David Vega-Hernandez by 6-1 but lost the second set and match tie-breaker to be beaten in the men's doubles by 1-6, 6-3, 10-4 in the €46,600 ATP Challenger Tennis Tournament in Lille (France). The match lasted 63 minutes.
On Wednesday, Oswald-Paes recorded 67 per cent first service in and won 26 out of 31 points on first service and 6 out of 15 points on second service. They, however, could not fully capitalize on winning break points. Out of 10, they could make use of only two.
Garcia-Lopez-Vega-Hernandez recorded 59 per cent of their first service in and won 26 out of 32 points on first service and 10 out of 22 on second service. Their determination fetched them eight break points out of 10 . They won solitary break point out which came their way.
Oswald-Paes earned €310.
