Five of family among 6 killed, 4 injured in road accident in TN

Madurai (Tamil Nadu), Apr 10 (UNI) In a gruesome tragedy, six people, including five members of a family, were killed on the spot, after a rashly driven sports utility vehicle (SUV) hit a two-wheeler and crashed into the median, then flipped in air before crashing on opposite side service road at Sivarakottai near Tirumangalam on the Virudhunagar-Madurai four-lane here on Wednesday.
Police said the deceased were identified as R Kanagavel (62), his wife Krishnakumari (51), their daughter-in-law M Nagajothi (28), her eight-year-old twin daughters Siva Athmika and Siva Shri and the two-wheeler rider G Pandi (52), a fruit vendor.
The girl Siva Shri succumbed to injuries at Government Rajaji Hospital (GRH) here.

Two JNTUK students selected for prestigious Amazon education programme

Kakinada, May 1 (UNI) Two girl students of CSE first year of JNTUK College of Engineering – G Padmapriya and M. Kavitha - have been selected for the prestigious Amazon Future engineering programme in the National level competition.
